TikTok video to text
Save the recipe, the tutorial or the tip as text instead of a bookmark you'll never rewatch. Paste a TikTok link to start.

- Recognising speech
- Laying out the text
Keep what a TikTok says, not just the video
Saved TikToks pile up fast. A recipe explained while someone cooks, a quick tutorial, a study tip, a product recommendation: by the time you need it, finding the right video and pausing at the right moment is a chore. Paste the link here and transcription.page gives you the spoken words as text, so you can read the ingredients at your own pace, copy the steps into a checklist or keep the tip in your notes app.
It works with public TikTok videos up to 10 minutes long. If the video has captions we use them, otherwise the audio is transcribed with the Whisper speech recognition model. You can also export the text, or SRT captions for your own videos.

TikTok transcript questions
Which TikTok links work?
Use the link from the Share button in the TikTok app, or the video address from your browser on a computer. The video must be public. Videos from private accounts, or videos set so only friends can see them, can't be accessed by our server and won't be transcribed.
Will it transcribe the song in a TikTok?
The tool is built for speech, not music. If a TikTok is a dance or a lip-sync over a song, you may get little or no useful text. It works best on videos where someone is talking: recipes, tutorials, explanations, reviews, storytimes and advice.
Can I save a TikTok recipe as text?
Yes. Paste the link of the recipe video and you get everything the creator says, including quantities and steps if they are spoken aloud. Copy it one sentence per line, or download it as TXT or Markdown, and keep it with your other recipes. Ingredients shown only as on-screen text won't appear in the transcript.
Are my TikTok transcripts saved somewhere?
Only in your own browser. Your history of past transcriptions is stored locally on your device so you can reopen them later, and you can clear it from the History panel. The transcript is not stored on our server, and the audio downloaded for transcription is deleted afterwards.
Can I make captions for my own TikToks?
Yes. Transcribe your video, then export the result as an SRT or WebVTT file. Import that file into your editor, such as CapCut or Premiere Pro, to add timed captions. Check the text first and correct any names or slang the speech recognition may have misheard.
Does it work for TikToks in other languages?
It supports spoken Arabic, French, English, Spanish, German, Italian and Portuguese. Set the right language in Settings before you paste the link, so the speech recognition knows what to listen for. The transcript stays in the original language of the video; the tool doesn't translate it into another language.
